Meet the Doctors
Dr. Daniel C. West, DMD, MAGD, MICOI, MIAMDI
Dr. Daniel C. West has been practicing dentistry in the New Holland area since 1982. He received his B.S. degree in Biology, magna cum laude, from Eastern Nazarene College in Boston, MA. He then graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1982. Prior to practicing dentistry, he performed research in anesthesiology at the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Medicine.
Dr. West has published papers in the field of anesthesia/pain control, as well as completing several surgical/hospital rotations. He has been a member of the faculty of the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine, where he has taught dental students in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. He has lectured internationally in medical and dental schools in Russia and Ukraine. Dr. West has been recognized by the American Dental Association for meritorious dental service to the medical community of Russia and Ukraine. The Academy of General Dentistry has awarded him the distinction of “Master”, the highest level of achievement a dentist can attain in the Academy.
Additionally, Dr. West was the first dentist in Central Pennsylvania to be identified as a Master of the International College of Oral Implantologists and the International Academy of Mini Dental Implants. Dr. West is a graduate of the post-doctoral program in Dental Cosmetics and Aesthetics at New York University School of Dental Medicine, taught by the world renowned Dr. Larry Rosenthal, aesthetic dentist. Dr. West has been twice awarded the Outstanding Young Men of America distinction and is named in Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, Who’s Who in Religion, Who’s Who Among Rising Young Americans, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who in Science and Technology, and Who’s Who in Business and Technology. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Eastern Nazarene College in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. West is very active in family and church activities. He and his family have resided in Lancaster County for over 40 years.
Meet the Doctors
Dr. Alessio G. Scott, DMD
Dr. Scott has wanted to be a dentist since the 6th grade, when he first got braces. After earning his bachelor’s degree from Temple University, he attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in pursuit of a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. He then attended Temple University's Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry. Upon earning his dental degree, Dr. Scott was selected to be a General Practice Resident at the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Philadelphia.
Dr. Scott’s highest priority is to deliver the best care to each and every one of his patients. His multi-disciplinary residency program taught him everything from preparing and delivering customized treatment plans to advanced training in restorative, removable, endodontics, oral surgery and treatment of complex medical cases. In his free time, Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Nichole, and his dog, Charlie. He also loves cycling, hiking and watching the Philadelphia 76ers.
Meet the Doctors
Dr. Kyle J. Durante, DDS
Dr. Kyle J. Durante grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania before joining the United States Air Force at age 19. He spent four years in service as a dental assistant at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. After finishing his undergraduate degree, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After graduation, Dr. Durante spent the next few years as an associate dentist in Richmond, Virginia.
Dr. Durante is a member of the American Dental Association and Pennsylvania Dental Association and enjoys learning about new technologies in the dental field.
He lives with his wife, Carley, an English teacher, daughter Isla, and dog Bentley in Lititz, PA. Dr. Durante enjoys running, reading, bicycling, and spending time with his family. He is currently learning how to play the guitar as a newfound way to relax. He and his wife are active in their church and enjoy serving in youth ministry.
Meet the Doctors
Dr. Daniel Woolf
Dr. Daniel Woolf was born in Redding, CA but spent most of his early years in Washington State. Dr. Woolf attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where he received a B.S. in Zoology in 2000.
Dr. Woolf attended UNC-Chapel Hill for dental school and graduated with his D.D.S. in 2004. While a student at UNC, Dr. Woolf did dental rotations at the Veteran’s Affairs hospital in Washington, D.C; the Butner Youth Correctional Facility, and several public health clinics across North Carolina. After graduation, Dr. Woolf completed a one-year residency at the Fayetteville, North Carolina, Veteran’s Affairs hospital.
Dr. Woolf has been in private practice in North Carolina since 2005 and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. He became a dentist to help people achieve and maintain optimal dental health.
Outside of the dental office, you might find Dr. Woolf practicing his lathe skills, tinkering with his elderly pick-up truck, or trying to keep up with his active family.
